Federal City Runners Saturday Morning Run @ 9 am

Please come out and join our fun run club! There are typically many more regular runners that show up than use the RSVP here on Meetup. We end the runs at Potter's House on Columbia Road, and either stay there on the patio, or bring coffee and breakfast over to Meridian Hill Park nearby. EVENT: Saturday Morning Columbia Heights Fun Run & Brunch (affiliate run with Keith's Columbia Heights run group, est. 2013) DESCRIPTION: Kick the weekend off right with a fun run through your neighborhood and local parks. We start in Columbia Heights and often run through neighboring Rock Creek Park. Join us for brunch after the run, at Potter's House. LOCATION: On the corner of 14th and Kenyon St NW, across the street from the Target/Best Buy TIME: 9:00am. Ends at Potter's House cafe on Columbia Rd at 9am. Runners will often hang out for an hour at Potter's House afterwards. Some weeks various run club members may also host a brunch at their place. DISTANCE: Between 5 to 6.5 miles PACE: The main group of runners stays together at a comfortable, talking pace. We like to stay together as a group during the runs, and be social. We do not have separate pacing groups organized. Runners should be able to maintain at least a ten minute per mile pace to stay with the main group, although all runners are welcome. RUN LEADER(S): Keith V. CANCELLATIONS: We run rain or snow or shine. Please RSVP to receive cancellation notifications. OTHER: Sometimes we run on trails, and dogs are welcome, provided they get along well with other dogs.
